Human Hair
Micro Linking System

MICRO LINKING SYSTEM is used only with micro thin (eye-lash) wefted hair.
Micron-sized “Micro Cylinders” are horizontally situated on the weft. The clients own natural hair is pulled through these cylinders.
The system lasts for 6 months with periodic adjustments.

ABOUT HUMAN HAIR
(used in Hair Extensions)

BASICS
Hair used in Extensions must have certain essential properties:
· CUTICLES protect the hair from harsh environmental conditions and keep it shiny as well as resilient. However for certain reasons(discussed later) cuticles are removed from inferior quality hair.
· NATURALLY ALIGNED CUTICLES prevent tangling and matted hair in Extensions
· CUTICLES from different type of hair mixed together during the collection process tend to produce disastrous results when the hair is combed wet.
· CHARACTERISTICS of the hair used for Extensions must be the same as the natural hair, i.e. thickness, cross-section etc.

TYPES
· GENUINE EUROPEAN HAIR
perceives a high value but there is a higher demand from Hair Extension companies than the market continously can supply. This type of hair is generally very thin and therefore can not add volume to the existing hair. Furthermore European hair is mostly treated chemically over the years before it is cut off to supply a factory. These reasons make this type of hair unsuitable for use in Hair Extensions.

· AFRICAN HAIR though looking very lovely is also not suitable since in general it is too short, too black, too curly and difficult to collect.

· CHINESE HAIR considerably thicker than European hair still is not very suitable for Hair Extensions. To make it suitable it has to be chemically treated thereby destroying the cuticles and making the hair dull and brittle. So the shine has to be restored by adding a silicon layer that will incidentally be removed after a few washes. Then the hair becomes brittle and dull again.
Chinese hair though is suitable for production of wigs, hair pieces and toupet's. These hair replacements are usually cleaned with dry shampoo that does not interfere with the silicon layer.

· INDIAN HAIR is very similar to European hair because of it's same genetic origin and basic structure. The hair is seldom treated chemically before it is cut off for collection by a hair factory.
· BRUSHED INDIAN HAIR is still not suitable for Extensions since during the collection method hair with cuticles in different directions are mixed together. They have to be treated chemically to remove the cuticles with the earlier mentioned deteriorating results.
The standard of this hair is acceptable for use in wigs and toupet's.
· INDIAN HAIR does provide the solution for Hair Extensions. Though only hair with perfectly aligned cuticles in the same direction must be used.
This type of hair is cut off by Indian women at their marriage or as a special offer to deity at a religious temple.
The cuticle layer is still perfectly healthy and intact. Weaving this precious, high quality hair into a plait ensures that the cuticles are all aligned in one direction. The hair is homogeneous in color, thickness and therefore provides the best solution for an extremely reliable Hair Extension service.

IMPORTANT REMARK BY MONALISA!

A traditional process applying bleaching substances would seriously damage this high quality hair. The manufacturing companies lighten and color the hair by a sophisticated process that keeps the hair structure intact and healthy.
Therefore it is paramount that only semi-permanent colors are used on Hair Extensions.
